Bernie recorded three previous albums with other groups that featured Bernie’s talents as a singer, songwriter and accordion player.
The mesmerizing quality of his voice and the ‘guaranteed to move you’ grooves of his songs gives him a sound all his own.
Bernie Alan was born in Lake Charles, Louisiana, a crossroads for Zydeco, Cajun & Country music. “I grew up listening to all types of music – so, I try to put a little bit of the best of all this music into the songs I sing and write.”
This musical mixture gives Bernie a special ability to identify and connect with his audience. You can see the joy and camaraderie in their faces whenever he launches into one of his signature, original tunes such as ‘Big Ol’ Frog’, ‘The Door’, and ‘As I Ride’.
Bernie has played in Branson, Missouri at the Cedric Benoit Mardi Gras Festival, the Gumbo Festival in Ville Platte, the Jim Bowie Festival in Vidalia, the Pecan Festival and MudFest in Colfax, the Mauriceville Crawfish Fest and the Mudbug Madness Festival in Shreveport. Bernie is a frequent headliner at Coushatta Casino Resort in Kinder, Louisiana, Delta Downs Casino in Vinton, Louisiana and numerous venues and clubs from Louisiana to Dallas, Texas.
In April 2007, Bernie released his first album as a solo artist. The album “AS I RIDE” features all original songs written by Bernie Alan, Danny White, Burton Gaar, all established songwriters with credits on Country, Blues, Cajun and Zydeco albums.
